apparently he is dipping his tie in the liquid nitrogen, and he can’t remember the name of the lady but she was from liverpool university

mr sanders made plaster of paris fossil models with 10e, 10n and 10o. the presence and nature of fossilised plants and animals can be used to give an approximate age of sedimentary rock formations.

mr sanders made some crystal gardens with one of his teaching groups. some ‘water glass’ (sodium metasilicate) is put into a jar then some sand is added followed by a few crystals of various substances. the garden then begins to grow. here are some example photographs.
